Nature of Work

The Catering Manager position will be responsible for the execution of all catering events on campus including staffing, menu development, and communication with the production staff as well as ensuring adherence to “Standards for Excellence” in quality of service and customer experience.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required. A minimum of 5 years full time work experience as a Catering Manager, which included a minimum of 2 years as a Supervisor in a large commercial restaurant, hotel, catering, or institution is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary. Excellent customer service and employee relations skills needed. Ability to work a very flexible schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in a related field preferred. American Culinary Federation certification preferred. Degree from Culinary Arts schools strongly preferred. Previous catering and high-end banquet service experience preferred. Basic working knowledge of Windows-based personal computer applications (e.g. Word, Excel, e-mail), as well as computerized menu and recipe systems strongly preferred.

Salary $52,056 min $65,676 midpoint
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Ability to lift 50 pounds on occasion. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
