News Release - 15th Annual Fireworks

The City of Villa Rica’s Special Events, the Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Services Department will host our 15th Annual Fireworks Display Extravaganza on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at the Villa Rica Civic Center & Sports Complex (V-Plex). The fireworks display is free and the presentation will be conducted by East Coast Pyrotechnics which produces hundreds of fireworks shows annually. The fireworks show begins approximately 9:30 p.m. This year’s event will kick-off at 5:00 p.m. and include a national anthem performance by Jelinda Hill, a natural-born singer and photographer from Villa Rica.
This year’s concert event will open with performances by Common Rarity 80’s/90’s and Retro Band from 5:15 – 6:30 p.m. “Do You Wanna Rock? Common Rarity will ensure that you get rocked ALL NIGHT. “Are they Vampires?”, “Is that Lipstick?”, “Is that KISS?” You will just have to find out for yourself! They don’t discriminate… they’ll take everyone into the night! There is something in this show for everyone! The band is loud, The Studs Are Shiny, and The boys are on the prowl!”
At 7:00 p.m. the event’s headlining act, Monsters of Yacht – “The Monsters of Yacht, yacht rock band delivers rocking recreations of songs by artists like Toto, Christopher Cross, the Bee Gees, Steely Dan, Hall and Oates, Doobie Brothers, Kenny Loggins and more. The Monsters of Yacht, yacht rock band has the skills and attitude needed to pay tribute to the artists of the yacht rock genre with a powerful live show featuring accurate vocals and performances of the classic yacht rock songs. The Monsters of Yacht also perform additional varieties of songs that are very compatible and add to the over-all experience.

Other event attractions include helicopter rides for $30.00 from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Rockwall $5.00, carnival bungee jumping $8.00, carnival water rollers $8.00, hang for 100.00 sec. $10.00, duck pond $5.00 - $10.00, caricature artist, face painting, and inflatable slides are available from 4:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Ticket prices for these activities range by vendor from $10 - $20.00. Food sales include: Moe’s, Chips & Queso $5.00, Fresh Squeezed Lemonade’s $3.00 - $7.00, Angus Cheeseburgers $7.00, Chicago
Style Polishes $6.00, and Shaved Ice $3.00 - $6.00.
Food and cold drinks will be available for purchase on site in the park. This event offers great activities
and experiences for the whole family. The crowd is expected to reach over 15,000 so get there early.
Limited parking is available on site; however, there are several large parking areas in the vicinity. Save
time NOW and purchase VIP parking passes for $10 while supplies. |
