Junior Chamber Graduation

The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce recently celebrated the program graduation with members of the Junior Chamber of Commerce. The students and special guests enjoyed dinner and the graduation program at The Burson Center.

The Carroll Junior Chamber of Commerce is designed to build strong leadership skills in participating high school students and develop community awareness and concern for the future of Carroll County.  The program is in cooperation with the seven high schools (Bowdon, Carrollton, Central, Mt. Zion, Oak Mountain, Temple, and Villa Rica) to provide a unique opportunity to twenty-eight students beginning their junior year of high school.

This 2019-2020 leadership program was cut short due to the closings caused by the pandemic.  Although the students were unable to participate in the last two sessions, Chamber leadership felt it important to honor the students for their work and commitment.  The celebration looked very different from previous events as everyone in attendance was required to wear a mask and social distancing was in place.
In an effort to host the event safely, guests were limited.  Parents, friends, and school administrators were encouraged to view the program on the Chamber’s Facebook page.

The Chamber, along with local school officials, are hopeful the 2020-2021 Junior Chamber of Commerce will kick-off in early September. For more information on the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, please visit their website at www.carroll-ga.org.
